Summary: The Bengal Cat Directory is a membership directory for Bengal Cat breeders. Listings are made by the members who choose what personal information they share with the public. There are free and purchased listings as well as classified ads. Purchased listings and ads are done via PayPal and order information is stored by the Directory. Member emails are collected by MailChimp as a contact method between the Directory and the members; members may opt out of MailChimp emails. Incoming and outgoing website traffic (IP address) is tracked for analytical purposes only. No member or site visitor information is provided to other outside entities.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
For users (members) that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Media: If members upload images to the website, they should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms: Information provided on contact forms is only used for support services and not archived by the Directory or used for marketing purposes.
Cookies: If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Analytics: Site analytics are kept via Google Analytics and used only by and for Directory management.
Who we share your data with
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties currently are: Paypal (for listing and ad purchases), MailChimp (for sending Directory updates and notices to members).
How long we retain your data
We keep contact form entries for one year, analytics records for five years, and customer purchase records for ten years.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
